फिर मनुष्य क्या कामना कर विद्याओं को प्राप्त होवें, इस विषय को कहते हैं ॥
Word-Meaning: - हे (ऋतावृधः) सत्य विद्या के बढ़ानेवालो (हवनश्रुतः) जो अध्ययन को सुनते हैं, वे (विश्वे, देवाः) सब विद्वान् ! आप लोग (ऋतुभिः) वसन्तादिकों के साथ (युज्यम्) समाधान करने योग्य (पयः) दूध, जल वा अन्न को (जुषन्ताम्) सेवें ॥१०॥
Connotation: - जो अध्ययन करने और परीक्षा कराने को चाहें वे मद करने, कुत्सित बुद्धि वा नाश करनेवाले पदार्थों को छोड़ के दुग्ध आदि बुद्धि के बढ़ानेवाले उत्तम पदार्थों को सेवें ॥१०॥

Word-Meaning: - [१] (विश्वे देवा:) = सब देव वृत्ति के पुरुष (ऋतावृधः) = ऋत का वर्धन करनेवाले होते हैं, ये यज्ञिय जीवनवाले बनते हैं। (ऋतुभिः) = समयानुसार (हवनश्रुतः) = गुरुओं के आह्वान को सुननेवाले होते हैं [उपहूतो वाचस्पतिरुपास्मान् वाचस्पतिर्हृयताम् अ०] । [२] ये देववृत्ति के पुरुष (युज्यं पयः) = प्रभु के साथ सम्पर्क करानेवाले ज्ञानदुग्ध का (जुषन्ताम्) = प्रीतिपूर्वक सेवन करें।
Connotation: - भावार्थ- हम यज्ञशील बनें। आचार्यों के समीप बैठकर उस ज्ञान को प्राप्त करें जो प्रभु को प्राप्त करानेवाला होता है ।

हे ऋतावृधो हवनश्रुतो विश्वे देवा ! भवन्त ऋतुभिर्युज्यं पयो जुषन्ताम् ॥१०॥
Word-Meaning: - (विश्वे) सर्वे (देवाः) विद्वांसः (ऋतावृधः) सत्यविद्यावर्धकाः (ऋतुभिः) वसन्तादिभिः (हवनश्रुतः) ये हवनमध्ययनं शृण्वन्ति ते (जुषन्ताम्) (युज्यम्) समाधातुमर्हम् (पयः) दुग्धमुदकमन्नं वा। पय इत्युदकनाम ॥ (निघं०१.१२) अन्ननाम च (निघं०२.७) ॥१०॥
Connotation: - येऽध्येतुं परीक्षयितुं चेच्छेयुस्ते मादककुत्सितबुद्धिनाशकानि द्रव्याणि त्यक्त्वा पय आदीनि बुद्धिवर्द्धकानि सेवेरन् ॥१०॥
