बाध॑से॒ जना॑न्वृष॒भेव॑ म॒न्युना॒ घृषौ॑ मी॒ळ्ह ऋ॑चीषम। अ॒स्माकं॑ बोध्यवि॒ता म॑हाध॒ने त॒नूष्व॒प्सु सूर्ये॑ ॥४॥
bādhase janān vṛṣabheva manyunā ghṛṣau mīḻha ṛcīṣama | asmākam bodhy avitā mahādhane tanūṣv apsu sūrye ||
बाध॑से। जना॑न्। वृ॒ष॒भाऽइ॑व। म॒न्युना॑। घृषौ॑। मी॒ळ्हे। ऋ॒ची॒ष॒म॒। अ॒स्माक॑म्। बो॒धि॒। अ॒वि॒ता। म॒हा॒ऽध॒ने। त॒नूषु॑। अ॒प्ऽसु। सूर्ये॑ ॥४॥

हे ऋचीषमेन्द्र राजन् ! ये मन्युना वृषभेव घृषौ मीळ्हे जनान् बाधन्ते यतस्त्वं तान् बाधसेऽस्माकं तनूष्वप्सु महाधनेऽविता सन्त्सूर्य्ये प्रकाश इवाऽस्मान् बोधि तस्माद्भवान् माननीयोऽस्ति ॥४॥

O praiseworthy like a Rik of the Veda ! you fight those in the battle, which is waged to subdue the wicked, with wrath like a bull, who gives trouble to the people. Enlighten us, being our protector in our bodies, in our Pranas (vital energy) and in the battle and enlighten us like the light in the sun. As you do this, therefore, are worthy of our honor.
