अन॑स्वन्ता॒ सत्प॑तिर्मामहे मे॒ गावा॒ चेति॑ष्ठो॒ असु॑रो म॒घोनः॑। त्रै॒वृ॒ष्णो अ॑ग्ने द॒शभिः॑ स॒हस्रै॒र्वैश्वा॑नर॒ त्र्य॑रुणश्चिकेत ॥१॥
anasvantā satpatir māmahe me gāvā cetiṣṭho asuro maghonaḥ | traivṛṣṇo agne daśabhiḥ sahasrair vaiśvānara tryaruṇaś ciketa ||
अन॑स्वन्ता। सत्ऽप॑तिः। म॒म॒हे॒। मे॒। गावा॑। चेतिष्ठः॑। असु॑रः। म॒घोनः॑। त्रै॒वृ॒ष्णः। अ॒ग्ने॒। द॒शऽभिः॑। स॒हस्रैः॑। वैश्वा॑नर। त्रिऽअ॑रुणः। चि॒के॒त॒ ॥१॥

हे वैश्वानराग्ने ! सत्पतिर्दशभिः सहस्रैरनस्वन्ता गावा सह चेतिष्ठोऽसुरस्त्रैवृष्णस्त्र्यरुणः संस्त्वं मे मघोनश्चिकेत तमहं मामहे ॥१॥

The duties of Agni (the enlightened persons) are told.
O Agni (learned leader)! shining in all, you are protector of good men. You, and your tens of thousands of persons follow owner of dependable and good transport. Enlightener of all with noble speech, taking delight in the breath exercises showerer of happiness, peace and bliss, you are endowed with three virtues of truth, justice and kindness, or self-control charity and shown kindness by your wealthy persons. Therefore I honor you.
