(त्रिषधस्थे) त्रीणि भुजलपवनाख्यानि स्थित्यर्थानि स्थानानि यस्मिँस्तस्मिन् (बर्हिषि) अन्तरिक्षे (विश्ववेदसा) विश्वान्यखिलान्यन्नानि धनानि वा ययोस्तौ (मध्वा) मधुरेण रसेन। जसादिषु छन्दसि वा वचनाद् नादेशो न। (यज्ञम्) शिल्पाख्यम् (मिमिक्षतम्) मेढुं सेक्तुमिच्छतम् (कण्वासः) मेधाविनः (वाम्) युवाम् (सुतसोमाः) सुता निष्पादिताः सोमाः पदार्थसारा यैस्ते (अभिद्यवः) अभितः सर्वतो द्यवो दीप्ता विद्या विद्युदादयः पदार्थाः साधिता यैस्ते। अत्र द्युतधातोर्बाहुलकादौणादिको डुः प्रत्ययः। (युवाम्) यौ (हवन्ते) गृह्णन्ति (अश्विना) क्षत्रधर्मव्यापिनौ ॥४॥
