सु॒ज्योति॑षः सूर्य॒ दक्ष॑पितॄननागा॒स्त्वे सु॑महो वीहि दे॒वान्। द्वि॒जन्मा॑नो॒ य ऋ॑त॒सापः॑ स॒त्याः स्व॑र्वन्तो यज॒ता अ॑ग्निजि॒ह्वाः ॥२॥
sujyotiṣaḥ sūrya dakṣapitṝn anāgāstve sumaho vīhi devān | dvijanmāno ya ṛtasāpaḥ satyāḥ svarvanto yajatā agnijihvāḥ ||
सु॒ऽज्योति॑षः। सू॒र्य॒। दक्ष॑ऽपितॄन्। अ॒ना॒गाः॒ऽत्वे। सु॒ऽम॒हः॒। वी॒हि॒। दे॒वान्। द्वि॒ऽजन्मा॑नः। ये। ऋ॒त॒ऽसापः॑। स॒त्याः। स्वः॑ऽवन्तः। य॒ज॒ताः। अ॒ग्नि॒ऽजि॒ह्वाः ॥२॥

अथ मनुष्याः सततं किं कुर्य्युरित्याह ॥
हे सूर्य इव विद्वन् ! येऽनागास्त्वे द्विजन्मान ऋतसापः सत्याः स्वर्वन्तो यजता अग्निजिह्वाः सुज्योतिषो विद्वांसः स्युस्तान् सुमहो दक्षपितॄन् देवांस्त्वं सततं वीहि, एवं सति सर्वदा कल्याणं निवहेत् ॥२॥

What should men constantly do-is told.
O scholar! you, who, are like the sun, approach or desire those enlightened & clever fatherly persons or teachers for freedom from sin," who have two births one from the physical mother and the other from Vidya-knowledge, who are always concerned with truth, whose promises are true, who are endowed with much happiness, who are associated with various sciences, whose tongue is illuminated with true knowledge like the fire, revealers of humility, very great and large hearted. By so doing, you will enjoy happiness and welfare.
