ऋ॒तावा॑नं य॒ज्ञियं॒ विप्र॑मु॒क्थ्य१॒॑मा यं द॒धे मा॑त॒रिश्वा॑ दि॒वि क्षय॑म्। तं चि॒त्रया॑मं॒ हरि॑केशमीमहे सुदी॒तिम॒ग्निं सु॑वि॒ताय॒ नव्य॑से॥
ṛtāvānaṁ yajñiyaṁ vipram ukthyam ā yaṁ dadhe mātariśvā divi kṣayam | taṁ citrayāmaṁ harikeśam īmahe sudītim agniṁ suvitāya navyase ||
ऋ॒तऽवा॑नम्। य॒ज्ञिय॑म्। विप्र॑म्। उ॒क्थ्य॑म्। आ। यम्। द॒धे। मा॒त॒रिश्वा॑। दि॒वि। क्षय॑म्। तम्। चि॒त्रऽया॑मम्। हरि॑ऽकेशम्। ई॒म॒हे॒। सु॒ऽदी॒तिम्। अ॒ग्निम्। सु॒वि॒ताय॑। नव्य॑से॥

यं ऋतावानं यज्ञियमुक्थ्यं दिवि क्षयं चित्रयामं सुदीतिं हरिकेशमग्निं नव्यसे सुविताय मातरिश्वाऽऽदधे तं यो जानाति तं विप्रं वयमीमहे॥१३॥

The subject of fire is further narrated.
We implore for Divine Commands and praiseworthy wealth from that wise man who knows the nature and properties of the Agni (fire). It is born out of true eternal cause (matter) and is the means of performing Yajnas. It is admirable, because the wind moving in the firmament and the sky upholds. It makes us dwell in wonderful happiness. Properly utilized, it has charming flames and is well consuming.
