हे अध्यापकोपदेशकौ ! युवां यथेन्द्रासोमौ परिष्ठां वृत्रमहिं हथोऽप आपप्रथुस्तथैवाऽविद्यां हत्वा विद्यां प्रथयतम्। यथेमौ नदीनां पुरूणि समुद्राण्यर्णांसीरयतस्तथा शास्त्राणां मध्ये मनुष्यान्तःकरणानि प्रैरयतमेवं वां युवयोरेको द्यौरिवामन्यत द्वितीयस्तमनुवर्त्तेत ॥३॥

How should they (Indra and Soma) deal and like whom-is told.
O teachers and preachers ! as lighten and the wind strike down the cloud, that covers the sun standing on all sides and pervade the waters, in the same manner, destroy ignorance and spread out knowledge. As they make flow many oceans full of water, so move the minds of men into the Shastras (scriptures) urge upon them to study them well. In this way, one of you may be regarded as the sky full of light and the other may follow him.
