आ नो॑ दि॒वो बृ॑ह॒तः पर्व॑ता॒दा सर॑स्वती यज॒ता ग॑न्तु य॒ज्ञम्। हवं॑ दे॒वी जु॑जुषा॒णा घृ॒ताची॑ श॒ग्मां नो॒ वाच॑मुश॒ती शृ॑णोतु ॥११॥
ā no divo bṛhataḥ parvatād ā sarasvatī yajatā gantu yajñam | havaṁ devī jujuṣāṇā ghṛtācī śagmāṁ no vācam uśatī śṛṇotu ||

हे विद्यार्थिनो ! यथेयं यजता सरस्वती दिवो बृहतो नोऽस्मान् पर्वताज्जलमिवाऽऽगन्तु घृताची जुजुषाणा देव्युशती कामयमाना विदुषी स्त्री नो यज्ञं हवं शग्मां वाचं नोऽस्मांश्चऽऽशृणोतु तथैव युष्मानपि प्राप्ता सतीयं युष्माकं कृत्यं शृणुयात् ॥११॥

O students ! this speech is full of knowledge which is worthy of attainment. Let it come to us who are desirous and of loft ideas, like water from the cloud. A learned lady is of peaceful disposition like water, who serves the public well, is endowed with the divine virtues and the knowledge of the shastras and desirous of the welfare of all. Let her listen to our dealing of knowledge, our invocation or request, and our speech which confers happiness. Let her listen and know also to what you do or learn, when she approaches you.
