प्रैष स्तोमः॑ पृथि॒वीम॒न्तरि॑क्षं॒ वन॒स्पतीँ॒रोष॑धी रा॒ये अ॑श्याः। दे॒वोदे॑वः सु॒हवो॑ भूतु॒ मह्यं॒ मा नो॑ मा॒ता पृ॑थि॒वी दु॑र्म॒तौ धा॑त् ॥१६॥
praiṣa stomaḥ pṛthivīm antarikṣaṁ vanaspatīm̐r oṣadhī rāye aśyāḥ | devo-devaḥ suhavo bhūtu mahyam mā no mātā pṛthivī durmatau dhāt ||
प्र। ए॒षः। स्तोमः॑। पृ॒थि॒वीम्। अ॒न्तरि॑क्षम्। वन॒स्पती॑न्। ओष॑धीः। रा॒ये। अ॒श्याः॒। दे॒वःऽदे॑वः। सु॒ऽहवः॑। भू॒तु॒। मह्य॑म्। मा। नः॒। मा॒ता। पृ॒थि॒वी। दुः॒ऽम॒तौ। धा॒त् ॥१६॥

हे विद्वन् ! देवोदेवस्सुहवस्त्वं य एषः स्तोमो राये पृथिवीमन्तरिक्षमोषधीर्वनस्पतींश्च प्राप्नोति तं त्वं प्राश्याः स मह्यं सुखकरो भूतु यत इयं पृथिवी मातेव नो दुर्म्मतौ मा धात् ॥१६॥

The duties of the learned persons are elaborated.
O learned person ! you are enlightened and giver of joy and your quality of giving and acceptance are very good. Utilize properly those admirable cloud or fire which goes to the earth, sky, trees like Peepal and barley and other crops for the sake of the prosperity. Let it be ever bestower of happiness upon me; let not the earth which is like mother to us, put us into evil thoughts.
