अक्षो॑दय॒च्छव॑सा॒ क्षाम॑ बु॒ध्नं वार्ण वात॒स्तवि॑षीभि॒रिन्द्रः॑। दृ॒ळ्हान्यौ॑भ्नादु॒शमा॑न॒ ओजोऽवा॑भिनत्क॒कुभः॒ पर्व॑तानाम् ॥४॥
akṣodayac chavasā kṣāma budhnaṁ vār ṇa vātas taviṣībhir indraḥ | dṛḻhāny aubhnād uśamāna ojo vābhinat kakubhaḥ parvatānām ||
अक्षो॑दयत्। शव॑सा। क्षाम॑। बु॒ध्नम्। वाः। न। वातः॑। तवि॑षीभिः। इन्द्रः॑। दृ॒ळ्हानि॑। औ॒भ्ना॒त्। उ॒शमा॑नः। ओजः॑। अव॑। अ॒भि॒न॒त्। क॒कुभः॑। पर्व॑तानाम् ॥४॥

हे मनुष्या ! यस्तविषीभिस्सहेन्द्रश्शवसा वातः क्षाम बुध्नं वार्ण दृळ्हानि शत्रुसैन्यान्यक्षोदयदोज उशमान औभ्नात् पर्वतानां शिखराणीव ककुभः शत्रूनवाभिनत् तमेव स्वकीयं राजानङ्कुरुत ॥४॥

O men ! you should elect a king who with his armies and with his own strength is able to crush the armies of his enemies, like the storm or strong wind engulfs the water and forbearing firmament. He is the destroyer of enemies and desirous of vigor, softens himself a bit, and comes closer to his enemies like the peaks of the hills in all directions.
