यं सी॒मकृ॑ण्व॒न्तम॑से वि॒पृचे॑ ध्रु॒वक्षे॑मा॒ अन॑वस्यन्तो॒ अर्थ॑म्। तं सूर्यं॑ ह॒रितः॑ स॒प्त य॒ह्वीः स्पशं॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ जग॑तो वहन्ति ॥३॥
yaṁ sīm akṛṇvan tamase vipṛce dhruvakṣemā anavasyanto artham | taṁ sūryaṁ haritaḥ sapta yahvīḥ spaśaṁ viśvasya jagato vahanti ||
यम्। सी॒म्। अकृ॑ण्वन्। तम॑से। वि॒ऽपृचे॑। ध्रु॒वऽक्षे॑माः। अन॑वऽस्यन्तः। अर्थ॑म्। तम्। सूर्य॑म्। ह॒रितः॑। स॒प्त। य॒ह्वीः। स्पश॑म्। विश्व॑स्य। जग॑तः। व॒ह॒न्ति॒ ॥३॥

हे मनुष्या ! यमर्थमनवस्यन्तो ध्रुवक्षेमास्तमसे विपृचे सीमकृण्वँस्तं विश्वस्य जगतः स्पशं सूर्य्यं सप्त यह्वीर्हरितो वहन्तीव शुभगुणान् वहन्तु प्रापयन्तु ॥३॥

The men who desire to have abiding and sure welfare, never waver from the path of duty and not worship anyone else except God and symbolize the sun for dispelling darkness. As seven kinds of the rays, like the directions, convey to the sun, as upholder (lit. binder) of the whole world, like-wise the highly learned should lead people to the noble virtues.
