म॒हाँ आ॑दि॒त्यो नम॑सोप॒सद्यो॑ यात॒यज्ज॑नो गृण॒ते सु॒शेवः॑। तस्मा॑ ए॒तत्पन्य॑तमाय॒ जुष्ट॑म॒ग्नौ मि॒त्राय॑ ह॒विरा जु॑होत॥
mahām̐ ādityo namasopasadyo yātayajjano gṛṇate suśevaḥ | tasmā etat panyatamāya juṣṭam agnau mitrāya havir ā juhota ||

हे मनुष्या य आदित्य इव महान् सुशेवो यातयज्जनो नमसोपसद्यो भवेद्यं सर्वे गृणते तस्मै पन्यतमाय मित्रायाऽग्नौ हविरिवैतज्जुष्टं हविरा जुहोत ॥५॥

Good and the choicest things should be offered to good friends.
O men! approach a great person with reverence who is illuminator of good virtues, like the sun. He urges upon men to do good deeds. He is admired by all, as he gives good happiness. Offer to such a great man, good food, as oblation are offered to the fire, is praiseworthy, because he is like the Prana (vital energy).
