हे धृष्णो इन्द्र ! याः सदृशीः सेना दिवदिवे नृणां वीरतमाय सोमपेयाय तुभ्यं वर्द्धन्तु। ये विद्वांसस्त्वा वर्द्धयन्तु ताँस्त्वं वर्धयस्व। हे विद्वांसो यूयमस्मै धानाः पुरोळाशं च तूयं प्रति भरत ॥८॥

O victorious Indra (destroyer of the troops of enemies)! may your armies, having uniformity in action and dress, augment you for drinking Soma. May you and the learned persons augment each other. O learned persons! offer to this Indra (brave king) the most heroic of leaders, the fried barley, the rotis and ghee which give happiness soon.
