अव॑ ते॒ हेळो॑ वरुण॒ नमो॑भि॒रव॑ य॒ज्ञेभि॑रीमहे ह॒विर्भिः॑। क्षय॑न्न॒स्मभ्य॑मसुर प्रचेता॒ राज॒न्नेनां॑सि शिश्रथः कृ॒तानि॑॥
ava te heḻo varuṇa namobhir ava yajñebhir īmahe havirbhiḥ | kṣayann asmabhyam asura pracetā rājann enāṁsi śiśrathaḥ kṛtāni ||
अव॑। ते॒। हेळः॑। व॒रु॒ण॒। नमः॑ऽभिः। अव॑। य॒ज्ञेभिः॑। ई॒म॒हे॒। ह॒विःऽभिः॑। क्षय॑न्। अ॒स्मभ्य॑म्। अ॒सु॒र॒। प्र॒चे॒त॒ इति॑ प्रऽचेतः। राज॑न्। एनां॑सि। शि॒श्र॒थः॒। कृ॒तानि॑॥

हे राजन् प्रचेतोऽसुर वरुणास्मभ्यं विज्ञानप्रदातो भगवन् यतस्त्वमस्मत्कृतान्येनांसि क्षयन् सन्नवशिश्रथस्तस्माद्वयं नमोभिर्यज्ञेभिस्ते तव हेळोऽवेमहे मुख्यप्राणस्य वा॥१४॥

O Resplendent Omniscient God dwelling in our Pranas or vital breaths, O Giver of knowledge to us, as Thou loose nest the bonds of the sins committed by us (by giving true knowledge) therefore, we desire to acquire Thy knowledge by homages, by Yajnas (noble deeds consisting of knowledge, communion with God and good actions) and by putting in fire the articles worthy of being given and taken.
