इस प्रकार से सिद्ध किये हुए इन पदार्थों से क्या फल सिद्ध होता है, इस विषय का उपदेश अगले मन्त्र में किया है-
Word-Meaning: - जो विद्वान् (सुशस्तिभिः) अच्छी-अच्छी प्रशंसावाली क्रियाओं से (साप्तानि) जो सात संख्या के वर्ग अर्थात् ब्रह्मचारी, गृहस्थ, वानप्रस्थ, सन्यासियों के कर्म, यज्ञ का करना विद्वानों का सत्कार तथा उनसे मिलाप और दान अर्थात् सबके उपकार के लिये विद्या का देना है, इनसे (एकमेकम्) एक-एक कर्म करके (त्रिः) त्रिगुणित सुखों को (सुन्वते) प्राप्त करते हैं (ते) वे बुद्धिमान् लोग (नः) हमारे लिये (रत्नानि) विद्या और सुवर्णादि धनों को (धत्तन) अच्छी प्रकार धारण करें॥७॥
Connotation: - सब मनुष्यों को उचित है कि जो ब्रह्मचारी आदि चार आश्रमों के कर्म तथा यज्ञ के अनुष्ठान आदि तीन प्रकार के हैं, उनको मन, वाणी और शरीर से यथावत् करें। इस प्रकार मिलकर सात कर्म होते हैं, जो मनुष्य इनको किया करते हैं, उनके सङ्ग उपदेश और विद्या से रत्नों को प्राप्त होकर सुखी होते हैं, वे एक-एक कर्म को सिद्ध वा समाप्त करके दूसरे का आरम्भ करें, इस क्रम से शान्ति और पुरुषार्थ से सब कर्मों का सेवन करते रहें॥७॥

एकविंश बनना
Word-Meaning: - १. प्रभु इन ज्ञान , बल , धन व श्रम का अर्जन करनेवाले ऋभुओं से कहते हैं कि (नः) - हमारी (त्रिः , आ) [वृत्तानि] - तीन बार आवृत्त (साप्तानि) - सात जो (रत्नानि) - रमणीय तत्त्व , अर्थात् ३×७ = २१ रमणीय शक्तियाँ (सुन्वते) - सोमाभिषव करनेवाले पुरुष के लिए हैं , उनको (धत्तन) - धारण करो । अथर्व के प्रथम मन्त्र ' ये त्रिषप्ताः ' में शरीर को धारण करनेवाले इक्कीस तत्त्वों का उल्लेख है , ये २१ तत्त्व प्रभु के हैं , प्रभु ही इनका निर्माण करनेवाले हैं । प्रभु ने इनका निर्माण किया उसी पुरुष के लिए है जोकि ' सुन्वत है , सोमाभिषव करनेवाला है । शरीर में सोम [वीर्यकणों] का सम्पादन व रक्षण करनेवाला है ।
२. इन इक्कीस तत्त्वों को धारण करके ही हम अपने जीवन को पूर्ण बना पाते हैं , अतः प्रभु कहते हैं कि (एकम् , एकम्) - इनमें से एक - एक को (सुशस्तिभिः) - उत्तम शंसनों के द्वारा धारण करने का ध्यान करो । हम प्रभुस्मरण करते हुए इन इक्कीस तत्त्वों को धारण करनेवाले बनते हैं तो सच्चा प्रभुस्तवन करते हैं । ' एकविंश एव [स्तोमः] सर्वम्' [गो० पू० ५/१५] २१ तत्वों का धारण प्रभु का पूर्ण स्तवन है । "एकविंशो वै स्वर्गों लोकः" [श० १०/५/४/६] २१ तत्वों को धारण करने पर हमारा जीवन स्वर्ग बन जाता है ।
Connotation: - भावार्थ - हम प्रभु - स्मरण करें और सोमरक्षण द्वारा जीवन के इक्कीस तत्त्वों को धारण करनेवाले बनें ।

एवं साधितैरेतैः किं फलं जायत इत्युपदिश्यते।
Anvay:
ये मेधाविनः सुशस्तिभिः साप्तान्येकमेकं कर्म कृत्वा सुखानि त्रिः सुन्वते ते नोऽस्मभ्यं रत्नानि धत्तन॥७॥
Word-Meaning: - (ते) मेधाविनः (नः) अस्मभ्यम् (रत्नानि) विद्यासुवर्णादीनि (धत्तन) दधतु। अत्र व्यत्ययः। तप्तनप्० इति तनबादेशश्च। (त्रिः) पुनः पुनः संख्यातव्ये (आ) समन्तात् (साप्तानि) सप्तवर्गाज्जातानि ब्रह्मचारिगृहस्थवानप्रस्थसंन्यासिनां यानि विशिष्टानि कर्माणि पूर्वोक्तस्य यज्ञस्यानुष्ठानं विद्वत्सत्कारसङ्गतिकरणे दानमर्थात्सर्वोपकरणाय विद्यादानमिति सप्त। (सुन्वते) निष्पाद्यन्ते (एकमेकम्) कर्मकर्म। अत्र वीप्सायां द्वित्वम्। (सुशस्तिभिः) शोभनाः शस्तयः यासां क्रियाणां ताभिः॥७॥
Connotation: - सर्वैर्मनुष्यैश्चतुराश्रमाणां यानि चतुर्धा कर्माणि यानि च यज्ञानुष्ठानादीनि त्रीणि तानि मनोवाक्शरीरैः कर्त्तव्यानि एवं मिलित्वा सप्त जायन्ते। यैर्मनुष्यैरेतानि क्रियन्ते तेषां संयोगोपदेशप्राप्त्या विद्यया रत्नलाभेन सुखानि भवन्ति। परं त्वेकैकं कर्म संसेध्य समाप्य द्वितीयमिति क्रमेण शान्तिपुरुषार्थाभ्यां सेवनीयानीति॥७॥

Word-Meaning: - May the sagely scholars create and provide gems of wealth for us. Indeed they create the means of seven kinds of joyful service for us, each with care and laudable work, three ways in thought, word and deed, that is, three kinds of yajnic activity of reverence to the seniors, social cooperation and charity to be performed by all the four classes of society at each one of the four stages of life.

When these (earth, water, fire and air ) are properly used, what is the result is taught in the 7th Mantra.
Anvay:
A BOX May those wise men who with their admirable actions enjoy happiness in body, speech and mind by discharging the duties of Brahma Charis, householders, hermits (Banaprasthas) and Sanyasis (renunciates) along with the respect shown to the enlightened, association, and charity doing them one by one, vouchsafe us gems in the form of wisdom and gold etc.
Word-Meaning: - (रत्नानि ) विद्यासुवर्णादीनि ।
= Gems in the form of wisdom and gold etc.
(साप्तानि ) सप्तवर्गाज्जातानि ब्रह्मचारिगृहस्थवानप्रस्थ संन्यासिनां यानि विशिष्टानि कर्माणि पूर्वोक्तस्य यज्ञानुष्ठानं विद्वत्सत्कारसंगतिकरणे दानम् अर्थात् सर्वोपकाराय विद्यादानम् इति सप्त || Seven consisting of the duties of the Brahmacharis, Grihasthas (householders) Banaprasthas ( hermits) and Sanyasis (renunciates) along with the performance of Yajna including respect shown to the wise, association and donation particularly of the knowledge.
(सुशस्तिभि:) शोभनाः शस्तयः यासां क्रियाणां तानि ।
Connotation: - All men should discharge the duties of the Ashramas (Stages of life ) namely Brahmacharya, Grihastha, Banaprastha and Sanyasa along with the respect for the wise, association with noble persons and charity to the needy and deserving. All this should be done with body, speech and mind. Those who thus discharge their duties, make others happy with their association and teachings by giving them wisdom and wealth. But these actions should be completed one by one and then others should be taken up with peace and labor.
Footnote: While Sayanacharya and following him Wilson and Griffith take रत्नानि to mean only material things रमणीयानि सुवर्णमणिमुक्तादीनि i. e. Gold, gem, pearls, many precious things (Wilson) rich treasures. (Griffith)
Rishi Dayananda includes far wisdom or knowledge also with the Gold and other material possessions. That shows his broad outlook and vision. By Sapta they take only agnyadheya, Darsha, Paurnamasa and other external sacrifices and have not been able to go the depth as Rishi Dayananda has done by pointing out various social duties useful to all. They lacked the Rishi's insight. Even Sayanacharya has stated that Ratnani means रमणीयानि Good things that give delight.

Connotation: - सर्व माणसांनी ब्रह्मचारी इत्यादी चार आश्रमांचे कर्म तसेच यज्ञाचे तीन प्रकारचे अनुष्ठान, मन, शरीर व वाणीने करावे. या प्रकारचे सात कर्म असतात, जी माणसे अशा प्रकारे वागतात त्यांच्या संगतीत उपदेश व विद्या यांच्याद्वारे त्यांना रत्नलाभ होऊन ती सुखी होतात. त्यांनी एकेका कर्माला सिद्ध करून दुसऱ्याचा आरंभ करावा. या क्रमाने शांतपणे पुरुषार्थपूर्वक सर्व कर्म करीत राहावे. ॥ ७ ॥
