यं मर्त्यः॑ पुरु॒स्पृहं॑ वि॒दद्विश्व॑स्य॒ धाय॑से। प्र स्वाद॑नं पितू॒नामस्त॑तातिं चिदा॒यवे॑ ॥६॥
yam martyaḥ puruspṛhaṁ vidad viśvasya dhāyase | pra svādanam pitūnām astatātiṁ cid āyave ||
यम्। मर्त्यः॑। पु॒रु॒ऽस्पृह॑म्। वि॒दत्। विश्व॑स्य। धाय॑से। प्र। स्वाद॑नम्। पि॒तू॒नाम्। अस्त॑ऽतातिम्। चि॒त्। आ॒यवे॑ ॥६॥

प्रस्वादनं पितूनाम्

पुनर्विद्वद्विषयमाह ॥
मर्त्य आयवे विश्वस्य धायसे यं पुरुस्पृहं पितूनां स्वादनमस्ततातिं चित्प्र विदत्तं सर्वोपकाराय दध्यात् ॥६॥

The duties of the enlightened persons are stated.
A man should use his desirable knowledge or things for the good of all, because he gets it for the sake of a man and for upholding the world. What tasteful food he gets should be used for benefitting others, after acquiring necessary strength for himself. And a householder when he comes in contact, with such a person should also be persuaded to use his wealth and energy for doing good to others.
