उ॒भे सु॑श्चन्द्र स॒र्पिषो॒ दर्वी॑ श्रीणीष आ॒सनि॑। उ॒तो न॒ उत्पु॑पूर्या उ॒क्थेषु॑ शवसस्पत॒ इषं॑ स्तो॒तृभ्य॒ आ भ॑र ॥९॥
ubhe suścandra sarpiṣo darvī śrīṇīṣa āsani | uto na ut pupūryā uktheṣu śavasas pata iṣaṁ stotṛbhya ā bhara ||
उ॒भे इति॑। सु॒ऽच॒न्द्र॒। स॒र्पिषः॑। दर्वी॑ इति॑। श्री॒णी॒षे॒। आ॒सनि॑। उ॒तो इति॑। नः॒। उत्। पु॒पू॒र्याः॒। उ॒क्थेषु॑। श॒व॒सः॒। प॒ते॒। इष॑म्। स्तो॒तृऽभ्यः॑। आ। भ॒र॒ ॥९॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर उसी विषय को कहते हैं ॥
हरिशरण सिद्धान्तालंकार
सर्पिष: उभे दर्वी [ज्ञान-विज्ञान]

पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह ॥
हे सुश्चन्द्र शवसस्पते ! यत्स्त्वमुभे दर्वी घटयित्वाऽऽसनि सर्पिषः श्रीणीष उतो तेन नोऽस्मानुत्पुपूर्याः स त्वमुक्थेषु स्तोतृभ्य इषमा भर ॥९॥

The same subject of ruler's duties is dealt.
O king! you are protector of the army, possessor of good gold and other wealth. You make cooked preparations of ghee, through your servants to be taken in mouth eaten. By the use of the two ladles, let you nourish us well, in all your admirable righteous acts, and bring good knowledge and food to all the teachers and the pupils.
