ये अ॑ग्ने चन्द्र ते॒ गिरः॑ शु॒म्भन्त्यश्व॑राधसः। शुष्मे॑भिः शु॒ष्मिणो॒ नरो॑ दि॒वश्चि॒द्येषां॑ बृ॒हत्सु॑की॒र्तिर्बोध॑ति॒ त्मना॑ ॥४॥
ye agne candra te giraḥ śumbhanty aśvarādhasaḥ | śuṣmebhiḥ śuṣmiṇo naro divaś cid yeṣām bṛhat sukīrtir bodhati tmanā ||
ये। अ॒ग्ने॒। च॒न्द्र॒। ते॒। गिरः॑। शु॒म्भन्ति॑। अश्व॑ऽराधसः। शु॒ष्मे॑भिः। शु॒ष्मिणः॒। नरः॑। दि॒वः। चि॒त्। येषा॑म्। बृ॒हत्। सु॒ऽकी॒र्त्तिः। बोध॑ति। त्मना॑ ॥४॥

हे चन्द्राग्ने ! तेऽश्वराधसो गिरो ये शुष्मेभिः सह शुष्मिणो दिवश्चिन्नरः शुम्भन्ति येषामेता गिरो बृहत्सुकीर्त्तिर्भवान् त्मना बोधति ते सखायो भवन्तु ॥४॥

O learned person ! you proclaim to be giver of delight, and thus accomplish energy etc. like the words of the leading and mighty men. You desire the welfare of all, and shine with their virtues. You know their great glory or good reputation and retain it your soul. Let them be your friends.
