अ॒ग्निर्होता॒ न्य॑सीद॒द्यजी॑यानु॒पस्थे॑ मा॒तुः सु॑र॒भा उ॑ लो॒के। युवा॑ क॒विः पु॑रुनिः॒ष्ठ ऋ॒तावा॑ ध॒र्ता कृ॑ष्टी॒नामु॒त मध्य॑ इ॒द्धः ॥६॥
agnir hotā ny asīdad yajīyān upasthe mātuḥ surabhā u loke | yuvā kaviḥ puruniṣṭha ṛtāvā dhartā kṛṣṭīnām uta madhya iddhaḥ ||
अ॒ग्निः। होता॑। नि। अ॒सी॒द॒त्। यजी॑यान्। उ॒पऽस्थे॑। मा॒तुः। सु॒र॒भौ। ऊँ॒ इति॑। लो॒के। युवा॑। क॒विः। पु॒रु॒निः॒ऽस्थः। ऋ॒तऽवा॑। ध॒र्ता। कृ॒ष्टी॒नाम्। उ॒त। मध्ये॑। इ॒द्धः ॥६॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर उसी विषय को अगले मन्त्र में कहते हैं ॥
हरिशरण सिद्धान्तालंकार
उपस्थे मातुः, सरभा उ लोके
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह ॥
हे मनुष्या! यथा मध्य इद्धोऽग्निरिव यजीयान् युवा कविः पुरुनिःष्ठ ऋतावा धर्त्ता होता सुरभौ मातुरुपस्थे लोके न्यसीदत् स उ कृष्टीनामुत पश्वादीनां रक्षकः स्यात् ॥६॥

O men ! a performer of the Yajnas. should be full of splendor like the electricity or the fire placed in the center and seated in the lap of its mother-the wind, young (energetic), extremely wise and highly learned, having implicit faith in God and the Vedas or going to various places for preaching, distinguisher of truth from untruth, upholder of divine virtues, seated in the lap of the mother earth in a place full of fragrance. He should be protector of men as well of the animals and birds.
