त्वम॑ग्ने वा॒घते॑ सु॒प्रणी॑तिः सु॒तसो॑माय विध॒ते य॑विष्ठ। रत्नं॑ भर शशमा॒नाय॑ घृष्वे पृ॒थुश्च॒न्द्रमव॑से चर्षणि॒प्राः ॥१३॥
tvam agne vāghate supraṇītiḥ sutasomāya vidhate yaviṣṭha | ratnam bhara śaśamānāya ghṛṣve pṛthu ścandram avase carṣaṇiprāḥ ||
त्वम्। अ॒ग्ने॒। वा॒घते॑। सु॒ऽप्रनी॑तिः। सु॒तऽसो॑माय। वि॒ध॒ते। य॒वि॒ष्ठ॒। रत्न॑म्। भ॒र॒। श॒श॒मा॒नाय॑। घृ॒ष्वे॒। पृ॒थु। च॒न्द्रम्। अव॑से। च॒र्ष॒णि॒ऽप्राः॥१३॥

अथ राजविषयमाह ॥
हे घृष्वे यविष्ठाग्ने ! सुप्रणीतिः पृथु चर्षणिप्राः संस्त्वं सुतसोमाय शशमानाय विधते वाघतेऽवसे चन्द्रं रत्नं भर ॥१३॥

the duties of a ruler are told.
O king ! shining with stark knowledge like the fire, illuminator of the science of energy, most youthful (energetic), the pursuer of good policy, industrious and fulfiller of the noble desires of men bestow charming wealth, gold and other substances. A man who extractes the juice of invigorating herbs like Soma, who deals honestly, who goes beyond all misery by tactful means and who is wise, he earns that wealth. Let you do so for his (king's) protection.
