म॒हत्तद्वः॑ कवय॒श्चारु॒ नाम॒ यद्ध॑ देवा॒ भव॑थ॒ विश्व॒ इन्द्रे॑। सख॑ ऋ॒भुभिः॑ पुरुहूत प्रि॒येभि॑रि॒मां धियं॑ सा॒तये॑ तक्षता नः॥
mahat tad vaḥ kavayaś cāru nāma yad dha devā bhavatha viśva indre | sakha ṛbhubhiḥ puruhūta priyebhir imāṁ dhiyaṁ sātaye takṣatā naḥ ||
म॒हत्। तत्। वः॒। क॒व॒यः॒। चारु॑। नाम॑। यत्। ह॒। दे॒वाः॒। भव॑थ। विश्वे॑। इन्द्रे॑। सखाः॑। ऋ॒भुऽभिः॑। पु॒रु॒ऽहू॒त॒। प्रि॒येभिः॑। इ॒माम्। धिय॑म्। सा॒तये॑। त॒क्ष॒त॒। नः॒॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर उसी विषय को अगले मन्त्र में कहते हैं।
हरिशरण सिद्धान्तालंकार
प्रभु अपने प्रिय ज्ञानियों द्वारा

पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह।
हे कवयो वो यन्महच्चारु नाम नामास्ति तत्तेन युक्ता विश्वे देवा ह यूयं भवथ। प्रियेभिर्ऋतुभिः सहेन्द्रे सातये न इमां धियं तक्षत। हे पुरुहूत राजेन्द्र त्वमेतैः सह सखा सन्नेतां प्रज्ञां प्राप्नुहि ॥१७॥

The attributes and duties of the enlightened are elaborated.
O sages and highly learned persons ! great is your beautiful name Ribhus, indicative of that you are all enlightened men. Along with beloved wisemen, who are dear to you like your own souls in the work of God (Divine work), protect this our intellect in order to rightly distinguish between the truth and untruth. O great king ! invoked by many, you are the friend of those wiseman, and attain wisdom.
